Bristol’s Chris Vui scored his first international try as Samoa put in a spirited display against England at Twickenham, going down 48-14.
The Samoan, the youngest international captain in world rugby, powered over in the corner midway through the second half to cap an impressive individual performance.
Vui was joined in the Samoan starting line-up by club teammates Jack Lam, Alapati Leiua and David Lemi, with all four impressing at HQ.
Elsewhere, Siale Piutau started at inside centre as Tonga overcame Romania 25-20 in Bucharest.
Tries from Leva Fifita, George Taina and Atieli Pakalani, and eight points from Sonatane Takulua, saw the Tongans bounce back from last week’s defeat to Japan in style.
Giorgi Nemsadze came off the bench as Georgia edged out USA 21-20 in Tblisi on Saturday.
Levan Chilacheva, Jaba Bregvadze and a penalty try sealed victory for the Georgians.
