Poppy Leitch believes the fight at set-piece will be key tomorrow afternoon at Bristol Bears Women take on Gloucester-Hartpury in their final home game of 2019 at Shaftesbury Park.
"It’s always a really good game against Gloucester-Hartpury. I think they play a similar way to us, so it’s going to be a really upfront battle and they’ve had a good couple of games under their belt, said Leitch.
"We’ve really built and built this week in training, it’s been positive and put ourselves in a really good position to go and take on Gloucester-Hartpury this weekend.
"The West Country derby is the always the biggest game of the season for us and to get the first one at home, at Shaftesbury Park with hopefully a big crowd that will cheer us on that makes a massive difference.
"We could have easily taken last week’s result and gone back in to our shells, but we’ve had a really good week in training and we’ve got to move on to the next game. This league is competitive and there will be results like last week’s, but we’ve got to bounce back and put in a big performance.
"I think he game is going to be won or lost at set-piece, it’s going to be a big battle between the two packs to see who comes out on top and gives their backs the platform to execute their moves and create gaps to get points on the board."
Bristol Bears Women take on Gloucester-Hartpury tomorrow afternoon at Shaftesbury Park (12pm) and supporters can purchase their tickets below.
