Players and staff from Bristol Rugby will sport Santa costumes to show their support for Children’s Hospice South West this Christmas, as the club enters a team into the annual ‘Santas on the Run’ charity event.
Donning their Santa suits and club colours, players, coaches, Community Foundation staff and volunteers from across the club, will take on the 2km challenge on Bristol’s harbourside alongside friends and families from Failand’s Charlton Farm on Sunday 10th December at 1pm.
Spectrum Project programme manager, Kris Tavender, has encouraged Bristol Rugby fans to sign up for the run and show their support – with just one day left to secure your spot (registration closes on Wednesday, November 29th at midday).
“Our work with Children’s Hospice South West is two-fold: we want to provide special experiences for the young people that use Charlton Farm and their families,” he said. “But also to raise the profile of the amazing work these neighbours of ours are doing for some of the most complex and challenged children in our community.
“There are a few days left to register to run, or walk, alongside your Bristol Rugby friends and heroes, to show your support for this remarkable charity.”
Fans wishing to sign up for the event can do so by clicking here.
Children’s Hospice South West provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions - and their whole family - across the South West. The care they offer is wide ranging; from respite and short breaks to emergency care; palliative care and even end of life care.
Bristol Rugby Community Foundation has been working with children and their families from Charlton Farm over the last 12 months to develop unique and accessible opportunities around sport in Bristol.
These opportunities are for some of the most challenged you people in the region, ensuring their limited time together is filled with as much fun and enjoyment as possible.
