Jon Fisher Arrives From Northampton Saints

Bristol Rugby is pleased to confirm the arrival of versatile forward Jon Fisher from Northampton Saints.

The 27 year-old – who can play across the back row – made twenty-five appearances in two seasons at Franklins Gardens.

“Jon is an experienced Premiership performer and has the right characteristics to fit in well in our environment,” Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“He’s a young man whose versatility provides us with plenty of options. Jon is highly regarded by those who have coached him and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to Bristol.”

Fisher earned an England Saxons cap in 2009 and has also represented his country at U20s and Sevens.

He said: “I’m pleased to be joining Bristol at such an exciting time for the Club with a new stadium and Premiership rugby to look forward to.

“Last season’s play-offs underlined the passion and size of the fanbase here and I’m relishing the challenge of performing at Ashton Gate.”
