Ladies Coast To Eleven Try Victory

A dominant display at The Portway Rugby Development Centre saw Bristol Ladies put seventy-four points past visitors Wasps.

Eleven tries and seven conversions saw Bristol coast to a 74-7 victory on Sunday.

Sydney Gregson, Charlotte Meill (3), Sarah Hunter, Amber Reed and Daisy Travers all crossed, while Claire Molloy, Katie Mason and Olivia Jones also went over.

The game started well for the hosts, with a strong scrum allowing Sarah Hunter to cross the try line after five minutes. The set piece proved to be a highlight of Bristol’s game this afternoon, as the referee awarded a penalty try after another dominant display by the Bristol pack.

Wasps scored their only points of the game shortly after with a quick tap penalty and quick hands sending Sarah Michelson across the whitewash.

In a one sided second half, Bristol Ladies romped home with Bath University’s Charlotte Miell bagging a hat-trick to maintain Bristol’s fine start to the RFU Women’s Premiership season.
