Lam special guest at Clifton Village Christmas Light Switch On

Pat Lam will switch on the lights at the Clifton Village Christmas Light Switch On on Tuesday evening.

Organised by BID Clifton Village, the event sees the biggest Christmas tree in the South West, Norman, a 50ft Norway Spruce, take residence in the Mall Gardens for the festive period.

Bears’ Director of Rugby has the honour of turning on the lights at 6.30pm as Clifton officially begins its celebration of Christmas.

The free event, in support of the Brandon Trust, starts at 6pm with community carol singing around the tree for all to enjoy led by the Christ Church Choir. This is followed by a short blessing by the Vicar of Christ Church Rev Paul Langham before the big switch on.

At 7pm, all visitors are invited to The Clifton Arcade for a spot of late night shopping, prosecco and choir performances by students from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
