Lansdown Club Events Spark Business Between Members

After crossing paths at several Bristol Sport networking and Big Sports Speaker events at Ashton Gate Stadium, Lansdown Club members James Poole and Della Hudson have sparked a new business relationship.

“Having been with the same Bath based firm of accountants for over 15 years, we decided that we would like to work with a chartered accountant who was Bristol based,” said James Poole of Gordon Poole Agency Ltd.

“Having attended all of the Lansdown Club’s  ‘Big Sports Breakfasts’, I was made aware of a fellow member – Della Hudson who was also at the breakfast events.

“We made contact with Della, had a successful meeting and have now appointed Della’s company as our accountants.

“The Lansdown Club networking events have proved to be very successful for my business, and in this case, has brought two like-minded businesses together, to form what will hopefully be a long lasting working relationship.”

Originally established in 1963, the Gordon Poole Agency has been supplying Celebrity Entertainers, Keynote Speakers and Guest Speakers to International Organisations, Media Corporations, PR Companies and to thousands of private individuals around the world.

“We were delighted to be approached by Gordon Poole Agency Ltd when they were looking for a new accountant who could also help them to modernise some of their financial systems,” said Della Hudson, Founder of Hudson Business Accountants.

“James and Jill came along to one of our Xero training workshops and we migrated their software early this month.

“Bristol Sport not only gave us the introduction but means that we share a common interest in local sport so we are pleased to be supporting the team at Gordon Poole.”
