Lewis Vows To Build On Success Of Eagle Project

Programme manager, Geraint Lewis has vowed to build on the recent success of the Eagle Project after the programme collected the Premiership Rugby PLAY Award at the House of Commons last week.
The innovative project saw off competition from Harlequins’ Wheelchair Rugby coaching programme and Saracens’ BLAST programme to scoop the prestigious award for the second year running – and Lewis says Eagle will continue to grow and develop girl’s rugby in Bristol.
He said: “We’re absolutely delighted to win the award for the second successive year.
“We have seen great commitment and enthusiasm from the girls involved and we must thank the teachers, schools and clubs for their continued support.
“Eagle will continue to grow and develop girl’s rugby in the city and we hope to build on this success.
“Congratulations to everyone shortlisted – we were up against some fantastic programmes and have been assured it was a very close run thing.”
