Tom Lindsay has warned his team that if they don’t start fast, they could find themselves in a battle as Bears Women gear up for their penultimate game of the 2020/21 season against DMP Sharks on Saturday (1pm KO).
Two games remain of the current Allianz Premier 15s campaign and Bears Women will be looking for strong performance in their last home outing of the season.
Lindsay said: “If you disrespect any team, it’s always going to be a hard day, especially at home. We know we have got to respect them, stick to our processes and make sure we turn up with the right mentality to perform from minute one to seventy to get a result”
“At the moment we have got a lot of young players involved, players that are injured so there will be people getting opportunities. It’s so important to switch on from minute one because the last thing that we want to do, as we have done a lot this season is start on the back foot after 20 minutes.
“We want to go out there, win and get our five points and we’re going to pick the players in the best possible position to do that. We’ve got to keep driving the standards for next year and the performances we want to see and keep seeing players that are going to push other players.”
