Luke Arscott Signs Permanent Deal

Luke Arscott will make a permanent switch to Bristol Rugby at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

The full-back – who has been on loan at the Club from Bath since October 2015 – has agreed a one-year deal.

Arscott has made 89 appearances for Bristol over two spells, following a debut in 2006.

“Luke has come in on loan and done well for us this season whenever he has been called upon,” Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“He’s an assured presence in the full back role and complements our back three options.

“Luke has a wealth of Premiership experience with Bristol, Bath and Exeter so we are confident he can make the step up to top flight rugby if we achieve our goals this season.”

Arscott began his career at Plymouth Albion before joining Bristol ahead of the 2006/7 season.

He said: “I’ve loved being back at Bristol and it’s a club and area that I know well. I’m pleased to have signed on permanently.

“It’s an exciting place to play rugby with the stadium development and the direction that the Club is going – I’m happy to be a part of that.

“Our primary focus is finishing the season on a high and achieving promotion at the end of the campaign.”
