Management team confirmed for 2019/20 season

Bristol Bears has confirmed its Management Team for the 2019/20 campaign.

Pat Lam – in his new title as Director of Rugby – continues to oversee the Vision, Strategy, Recruitment, and all the Rugby Departments, covering every aspect of the Game, the Culture and the Leadership of Bristol Bears Rugby.

The Coaching Team is unchanged from last season, as Conor McPhillips (Assistant Coach), Jonathan Thomas (Forwards Coach), Bruce Reihana (Skills Coach), John Muldoon (Defence Coach) Mark Irish (Scrum Coach), Sean Marsden (Academy Transition coach) and Peter Walton (Academy Forwards Coach) remain in place.

Stuart Powell (Head of Performance Analysis), Ben Duffield (First Team Performance Analyst) and Jamie Eustace (Academy Performance Analyst) form the Analysis Team.

In the Strength & Conditioning Team, Kevin Geary (Head of S&C) joins from Ulster to lead the department. Former Welsh international Kevin Morgan, is appointed as First Team S&C Coach joining Sam Dodge (First Team S&C Coach), George Van Klaveren (Head Academy S&C Coach), Luke Wilkinson (Academy S&C Coach) and Andrew Petts (Performance Nutritionist).

In the Medical Team, Rory Murray (Head of Medical Services) continues to lead the department, alongside Jonathan Williams (Team Doctor), Harriet Collins (Team Doctor), Craig Boustead (First Team Physio) David Howes (First Team Physio), Jemma Gardner (Sports Therapist/Admin), Jack Targett (Recovery & Logistics) Ed Wilson (Head Academy physio) and Danielle Vicary (Academy Medical Services).

Nick Fenton-Wells is a new arrival in the club’s management team; the former Bristol backrower/hooker takes over as Team Manager, while JP Paramore continues as Kit Manager.

The Academy continues to be led by Mike Hall (Academy Manager) alongside Gary Townsend (Academy Player Development Manager) and Lucie Peters (Academy Administrator).
