Number Crunch: The Showdown

All of the key player, team and form statistics ahead of the Gallagher Premiership clash with Saracens at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.


  • Tottenham Hotspur Stadium becomes the 40th different venue to host a Premiership Rugby fixture and an eighth different home venue for Saracens. 
  • Saracens only defeat in their last five Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches was 30-32 at London Irish in Round 17. 
  • Bristol Bears have won only one of their last five Gallagher Premiership Rugby fixtures: 31-19 at home to Wasps on 25 February. Bristol’s only away win in Premiership Rugby this season came in Round 7 on their visit to London Irish. 
  • The last four meetings between the two clubs in Premiership Rugby have been evenly split with two wins apiece whilst Bristol have not been victorious on “Saracens’ soil” since a visit to Vicarage Road in February 2006. 
  • Saracens have won their last six home matches against Bristol Bears in the Premiership, scoring 36 points or greater in four of those encounters; however, Bristol Bears have actually been leading at half-time in two of their last three games at Stonex Stadium.
  • Saracens have scored just one try in their last two Premiership matches against Bristol Bears, after scoring an average of five per game in their six match-ups prior to their current run.

  • Saracens have lost just one of their last 11 games at home in the Premiership (W8 D2); they have also claimed eight try bonus points during that period.
  • Saracens have scored at least 30 points in each of their last three Premiership matches; however, they have also conceded over 20 points in each of those matches.
  • Bristol Bears have lost their last four Premiership games away from home; however, their three most recent losses have each come by margins of six points or fewer.
  • Only Gloucester Rugby (2752) have successfully completed more tackles than Saracens (2690) in this season’s Premiership; Saracens also boast the highest tackle success rate this term (81%).
  • Bristol Bears have completed more offloads than any other side in this season’s Premiership (204); additionally, only Harlequins (123) have made more clean breaks than them so far this term (110).
  • No player has successfully completed more tackles in this season’s Premiership than Saracens’ Ben Earl (253); Bristol Bears’ Fitz Harding also ranks seventh for tackles made this term (184).
  • Saracens boast the Premiership’s leading points-scorer this term amongst their ranks in Alex Lozowski (172); Bristol Bears’ Callum Sheedy ranks fourth for points scored this term (132).
  • Two Bristol Bears players feature amongst the top 10 players with the most tackles successfully completed in this season’s Premiership: Chris Vui (174, 9th) and Fitz Harding (184, 7th).
