Kim Oliver has secured the services of Amber Reed, Sarah Bern, Clara Nielson and Rownita Marston ahead of the 2020/21 Premier 15s season.
The quartet have played integral roles for the Bears throughout the 2019/20 season and Oliver has high praise for all four players and what they contribute to the playing group both on and off the field.
“I’m delighted that all four girls have committed to Bristol Bears Women ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, said Oliver.
“They’re all an absolute pleasure to coach, with all four bring in different strengths to the playing group and driving the standards in their own unique way."
“Amber is a proud Bristolian and it’s fantastic to keep her at the club. She is a natural leader amongst the group and brings huge amounts of experience to the playing group.
“She leads with her actions in defence and brings the rest of the group up to her level, not to mention the exceptional skillset she possesses in attack.”
“Sarah is another player that despite her young age brings loads of experience and having 35 caps for your country aged 22 speaks volumes.
“The raw power she possesses combined with her skillset makes her a frightening prospect for all Premiership defences, not to mention her scrumaging capabilities are outstanding.”
“Clara has a tremendous work rate on the pitch and embodies everything that Bristol Bears Women is about off the field as well, which has been highlighted in her role as co-captain.
“She’s a natural leader through her actions and a highly skilled hooker, which is invaluable.”
“What a season Row has had. She’s come into her own this campaign after a change in position and taken the Premiership by storm.
“She has made the number eight position her own with a destructive ability on both sides of the ball, and she has a real eagerness to learn and develop, which I’m excited by as the sky truly is the limit for her.”
