Bristol Bears Women Head Coach Kim Oliver was full of praise for her squad after returning to stage one training ahead of the 2020/21 Premier 15s season.
Kim Oliver’s side returned to Shaftesbury Park last week and began training in groups of five to adhere to the RFU’s stage one return to training protocols.
All five of Bristol Bears Women’s exciting summer signings have been training with the squad over the last two weeks.
“Everyone inside the club has been fantastic, I couldn’t ask for any more from them.
“Our squad manager and medics have done a brilliant job in making sure we have all the correct procedures and protocols in place to make sure we’re all training and working in a safe environment.
“For me personally, I’ve been able to come back in and do my job, the same goes for the girls they come in and know exactly what is going and where they need to be so they can just get back to playing rugby – there’s a great buzz about the place.
“All the girls are split into groups of five, but we’ve tried to link in the new players with members of the squad from last year so we can begin to get them integrated with the group from the get-go.
“The new players have all integrated really well and got stuck right in. They’re exactly what we needed heading into this season, they have high ambitions and high performances standards and that’s only going to lift the group.
“We’re all already looking forward to training progressing to stage two, whenever it is safe to so, so we can all be together, and that will take the training level up
