Ovens: Home Final Is An Incentive

Josh Ovens believes the Bristol Rugby squad are full of confidence ahead of the B&I Cup semi-final versus Doncaster on Saturday (2pm kick-off).

On the back of four successive league victories, Bristol travel to Castle Park knowing that a win would book a place in the B&I Cup final for the first time since 2011.

"We're excited about the weekend and everyone is in good spirits. It's a great place to be at the moment," Ovens told bristolrugby.co.uk.

"We'll take nothing for granted because Doncaster are a well-drilled side and tough to beat, especially at home, but a final at Ashton Gate is big incentive for us.

"It's a taste of knockout rugby and will be good experience for everyone involved ahead of the play-offs.

"There won't be any let-up in intensity. Competition for places is fierce at the moment so we all have a point to prove when we get a chance.

"I'm really enjoying my rugby at the moment and looking forward to every opportunity I get."
