Palamo and Robinson agree PRO14 loan spells

Olly Robinson and Thretton Palamo have agreed loan spells, the club confirmed today.

Back-rower Robinson links up with Cardiff Blues, while Thretton Palamo joins fellow PRO14 outfit Newport Gwent Dragons on short-term deals until November.

Robinson made his first competitive outing in the victory over Richmond and Palamo has yet to appear in the Greene King IPA Championship during the 2017/18 campaign.

“I had a call from good friends Danny Wilson and Bernard Jackman requesting the players. With a huge amount of competition in the back row and midfield, we felt it beneficial for the pair to go out on loan,” said Head Coach Pat Lam.

“It’s really positive for the guys that they go and get some quality game-time. We’ll be monitoring their performances closely and they can be recalled to us at any time before the end of the agreement, should Bristol Rugby require it.”
