Phillips Signs Permanent Deal With Bristol Rugby

James Phillips has signed a permanent deal with the Bristol Rugby Club following a successful trial period.

The utility forward – who can play at lock and across the back row – joins from London Scottish.

Phillips graduated through the Bristol Academy before joining Exeter Chiefs in 2010.

“We’re pleased to welcome James back into the fold – he impressed in training and during our pre-season game versus Cardiff Blues,” Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“James will be challenging for a place in the second row and back row and is a strong carrier. He will be available for selection with immediate effect.”
