Jersey visit Ashton Gate for the first time in the Club’s history as Round 21 gets underway on Friday (7.45pm kick-off).

The Channel Islanders are safely mid-table following an upturn in form in the second half of the Championship season.

Jersey’s last outing saw a last-gasp 28-26 victory over Cornish Pirates, as Joe Buckle’s late try secured a narrow win.

And Harvey Biljon’s men secured possibly the finest result in their three seasons in the Championship in March, overcoming Worcester 23-21 with former Bristol centre Fautua Otto touching down.

When the two sides met in January, Bristol’s late charge helped Robinson’s side to a 27-17 win, denying Jersey a bonus point in the process.

Following Friday’s game, Jersey face Moseley at St Peter in the final game of the campaign (25 April).

Team news

Ellis Genge is set for his first Championship start this evening, the Academy prop is one of seven changes to the side that secured a bonus point victory over Plymouth Albion.

Jack Tovey makes a first league start since February, while Gavin Henson and Craig Hampson return for the Ashton Gate clash.

Anthony Perenise is selected in the front row, while Glen Townson and Mitch Eadie also come into the pack.

Jack Lam is listed among the replacements after recovering from a face injury sustained in March.
