Preview: London Scottish v Bristol Rugby

London Scottish welcome Bristol to the Richmond Athletic Ground in a fourth meeting between the two sides already this season on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

In three games so far, played across league and cup, Bristol have emerged victorious on each occasion.

A 42-17 Championship win in September saw six tries as Auguy Slowik, Marco Mama, Jack Lam and Dwayne Peel all dotted down, while Bristol added two penalty tries at Ashton Gate.

Then, in the B&I Cup Pool One clash back in October 2014, a young Bristol side ran out 22-18 winners as Mark Cooke struck seventeen points in a scrappy affair, while Luke Eves crossed for a second half try.

In the penultimate round of B&I Cup pool clashes, Kyle Traynor, Ben Skirving and Gaston Cortes crossed in a routine 22-14 victory.

The last time Bristol met the Exiles in the league at the Richmond Athletic Ground, Andy Robinsonโ€™s side romped to a 55-31 victory as Andy Short (2), Adam Hughes (2), Ross Rennie, George Watkins and Luke Baldwin all touched down.

London Scottish include former Bristol quartet Matt Williams, Chevvy Pennycook, James Phillips, Josh Brown and Mark Lilley in their ranks, while Errie Claassens announced his retirement from the game in January.

Following Saturdayโ€™s game, Scottish face resurgent Plymouth Albion at Brickfields on Sunday, 15 February.
