Henry Purdy took time out of his training schedule to show his support for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospital Charity’s COVID-19 Appeal and present two young fundraisers with certificates.
Purdy met the hospital’s Critical Care team and gave his backing to the charity’s latest staff wellbeing appeal. Thanks to the public’s help, the charity is providing £100,000 of specialist mental health support for staff following the pandemic and hopes to raise more funds to help continue this in the future.
He was then introduced to staff that had worked throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in the Critical Care ward at Cheltenham General Hospital, and was shown how patients were cared for during this period.
Karen Organ, Senior Fundraiser at Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospital Charity, said: “We really appreciate Henry supporting our latest appeal for staff mental health and wellbeing.
"We know how after an intensive few months this kind of support can make such a difference. We’d like to thank Henry for taking the time to visit our staff and fundraisers.”
We have an exciting opportunity to work for Bristol City Robins Foundation as a Youth Mentor.
