Quartet selected for Red Roses' autumn internationals

Abbie Ward, Amber Reed, Sarah Bern and Leanne Riley have all been named in Simon Middleton's England squad for the upcoming autumn internationals.

Simon Middleton has confirmed his 40-player training squad ahead of the autumn series, which will see the Red Roses take on New Zealand twice as well as test matches against Canada and USA.

Sarah Bern is in line for her first international appearance in over a year after her return from injury this campaign and Leanne Riley may be in action in for the Red Roses before she is seen in Bears' colours as she continues her rehabilitation from an ankle injury.

The squad will convene at Bisham Abbey next week (October 11th-14th) before a second camp a week later (18th-21st) in preparation for their upcoming test matches.

The Red Roses take on New Zealand, firstly at Sandy Park  (Sunday, October 31st, 2.30pm KO) before a second meeting with the Black Ferns at Franklin’s Gardens (Sunday, November 7th, 2.45pm KO).

England then return to Twickenham Stoop to host third-ranked in the world Canada (Sunday, November 14th, 2.30pm KO). Their final Test is a meeting with USA at Sixways Stadium (Sunday, November 21st, 2.45pm KO).

All fixtures will be broadcast live on BBC Two.
