'Raving Fan of the Month' winners announced

Bristol Bears is proud to announce the ‘Raving Fan Of The Month’ for April, in association with the club’s principal partner, Ravenscroft.

Every month until the end of the 2020/21 season, we’ll be picking a standout Bears supporter to win a signed ball from the first team squad and a £100 voucher to spend in the Bristol Sport store.

This month, we asked fans to tell us – in no more than 100 words – why they are the Bears' biggest overseas-based supporter:

Winner: Ben Tuck

Ben lives in Japan and is April's Raving Fan of the Month. He sent us this poem to explain why he is the Bears' biggest oversea supporter:

Best overseas fan?
That should be me.
You want to know the reasons why?
Well then, let me see....

I live in Japan,
And it’s a very far place.
So watching The Bears,
Gives me challenges to face.

4am alarms,
Grainy internet feeds,
Stand in the way,
Of my rugby watching needs.

But that doesn’t defeat me,
I watch all the games I can,
Cos when it comes to The Bears
I am a massive fan.

So who’s the biggest fan?
It’s quite clearly me.
But at last I just have to ask,
Where to that blackbird be?!

Runner up: Jack Hendy

China-based Jack Hendy is the April Raving Fan of the Month runner-up.

For May's competition, we're on the search for our junior Bears. Tell us in no more than 100 words, why you are the biggest Bears' fan under the age of 10. Send your entries to fanofthemonth@bristol-sport.co.uk.
