Amber Reed and Sarah Bern starred for the Red Roses in Parma as they secured back-to-back Grand Slam Six Nations title with a thumping 54-0 victory over Italy.
Having already had their engraved on the trophy last weekend following Scotland’s 13-13 draw with France, Simon Middleton’s side travelled to Italy in search of five victories from five.
The result means England’s men and women teams have both secured the 2020 titles, the first time they have completed that double since 2017.

England just four minutes to get on the board when some smart handling fed the ball to Ellie Kildunne and a smart step from the full back saw her crash over of the whitewash.
Poppy Cleall who drove over from close range for the second, before a moment of individual brilliance saw Scarratt finish from 25 metres out.
Abbie Ward crashed over the try line just before the half-time interval to see the Red Roses go into the sheds 28-0 up.
Italy’s defence improved after the break and it took until nearly 20 minutes into the second half for England’s first points when Sarah Bern powered over from close range.
Jess Breach dived over in the corner for their sixth followed by Leanne Riley intercepting an Italian pass close to get to the line.
The fourth try of the second half and the final score of the evening was completed when Marlie Packer was able to fall down off the back of another controlled driving maul.
Everyone at Bristol Bears Women would like to congratulate Amber Reed, Sarah Bern and the entire England Rugby squad and staff on this fantastic achievement.
