Sarah Bern, Lark Davies, Abbie Ward and Amber Reed have been named in an updated 35-player England Women’s squad for this weekend’s Test match against USA in Exeter.
The Red Roses will play the Eagles at Sandy Park Stadium on Saturday 3 September (KO 3pm) in their first of two Summer Nations Series matches.
Middleton’s side have been training at Pennyhill Park throughout August and meet up in Exeter today to fine-tune their preparations in Devon.
Wing Abby Dow is included as she continues her rehabilitation with the group.
Following the meeting with Rob Cain’s USA, England will then host Wales at Ashton Gate, Bristol on Wednesday 14 September (KO 7.30pm).
Tickets for both matches are available here.
Middleton said: “We’ve had a good month of preparation at Pennyhill Park where the players have worked extremely hard.
“We’ve reduced the squad to 35 ahead of this weekend’s match. Those not selected in this squad remain very much part of the wider World Cup training squad and in contention. We feel it’s best for them to return to their clubs for their own pre-seasons and we will of course be monitoring and in touch throughout.
“We’re looking forward to spending the week in Exeter ahead of what is an exciting game.”
