Reed and Bern in from the start against Scotland

Amber Reed and Sarah Bern have been named in the England Women’s starting XV to take on Scotland in the Women’s Six Nations this weekend.

The Red Roses defeated France 13-19 away from home and arrived in Glasgow yesterday hoping to make it two from two in this year’s competition.

After impressing from the bench against France, Amber Reed starts at inside centre, with Zoe Harrison shifting to fly-half.

Bern also made an impact as a replacement last weekend in Pau and will start at tight-head prop.

England Head Coach, Simon Middleton, said: “We’re really looking forward to the game in Glasgow on the back of a strong opening weekend for us.

“Our strength-in-depth means we’ve had players patiently waiting in the wings for an opportunity and we’ve freshened up the squad and starting XV.”
