Reed named in Red Roses squad ahead of Le Crunch

Amber Reed will once again join up with the Red Roses and form part of the 30-player training squad for the upcoming autumn test again France.

Little over 9 days since claiming the Grand Slam Six Nations title in Italy the training group will reassemble at Bisham Abbey today before flying to France for Saturday’s test match.

Sarah Bern will unfortunately miss out on travelling to France after sustaining an injury in Saturday’s 40-18 victory over Sale Shark Women.

Middleton said: “We were absolutely delighted to win the Grand Slam in Italy.

“This is a group that’s trained really well, and we’re pleased with how we’re progressing. Training is competitive and that was reflected in our performance over in Italy.

“While we have a number of absentees, we have real strength-in-depth as shown in our training squad selection.”
