Bristol Bears exited the EPCR Challenge Cup after Damian Penaud's double fired Clermont Auvergne to victory at a rain-soaked Ashton Gate on Friday night.
First-half tries from Semi Radradra and Harry Randall had edged the Bears in front with 38 minutes played after Tomas Lavanini and Penaud had struck for the visitors.
But George Moala touched down on the stroke of half-time to edge Clermont in front at the interval, before Penaud's second sealed the deal for the Top 14 side.

Clermont fly half Anthony Belleau kicked 13 points to AJ MacGinty's 16, but it was Penaud's double that proved to be the difference in BS3.
