Report: Bristol Ladies 32-20 DMP Sharks

Bristol Ladies secured a bonus point win in a hard fought victory over strong DMP side.

Bristol scored six tries courtesy of Sarah Bern (2), Amber Reed, Tilly Vaughan-Fowler, Katie Mason and Chantelle Miell to extend their winning run in the RFU Women’s Premiership.

The first came on ten minutes from captain Reed, only for DMP to answer with a score of their own shortly after.

Chantelle Miell continued her scoring streak when she chased a grubber kick perfectly placed by Katie Mason to score on the half hour. Tilly Vaughan Fowler followed five minutes later, stepping in off the wing, beating a raft of defenders to get over the try line.

Bristol added a further three tries after the break – including a double for replacement Sarah Bern – to record a fifth win in six league outings.

Head Coach LJ Adams said: “This was the best Darlington Mowden Park Sharks side we have faced in a long time. They were so physical and really tested out defence. We’ve had the perfect run up to the game against Saracens next weekend and the squad and back room staff feel up for a big battle at home on Sunday.”
