Bristol Bears suffer defeat away to Gloucester-Hartpury in the second round of the Allianz Premier 15s at the ALPAS Arena.
Phoebe Murray was the Bears only try scorer on a dreary day in Gloucestershire.
The try scorers for Gloucester-Hartpury included doubles for Neve Jones and Ellie Rugman, with Mia Venner and Emma Sing joining them on the score sheet.
The Bears only points game through Phoebe Murray, who shattered through Hartpury’s defence at pace and dived over the whitewash in the first half.
Both teams saw yellow cards in the second half. Grace White the first to depart after not rolling away at the breakdown five-metres out from the Bears try line and then Sarah Beckett for Gloucester-Hartpury for a high tackle on Reneeqa Bonner.
Courtney Keight was sublime under the high ball and was one of the Bears most impactful ball carries of the afternoon. The full back was named Pick of the Match.
The Bears sit in third place in the Allianz Premier 15s table ahead of a home match on Saturday, December 3rd at home against DMP.
