Bristol Ladies’ three game winning streak grinded to a halt with a heavy defeat on the road to table-topping Harlequins.
Quins scored nine tries on their way to a 49-12 victory at the Twickenham Stoop to maintain their unbeaten start to the Tyrrells Premier 15s campaign.
Tries from centres Laura Dowsett and Fiona Pock plus flanker Alex Hardy, together with two conversions from full back Jess Wooden gave Quins a 19-0 lead before hooker Carys Phillips, the Wales Women skipper, crossed for the visitors.
Flanker Shaunagh Brown added Quibs fourth try before second row Kate Newton crossed for Bristol’s second which was converted by captain Amber Reed.
Further tries from Hardy and scrum half Leanne Riley gave Quins a 34-12 half time lead. England International Abbie Scott crossed the line early in the second half before Pocock intercepted a stray pass to run the length of the field for her second try.
Riley scored her second try of the game to complete Quins victory of the season.
The advance price deadline for Season Tickets for 2022/23 is June 1st.
