Report: Saracens U18s 31-12 Bristol Bears U18s

Bristol Bears U18s slipped to defeat at the hands of Saracens at StoneX Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The young Bears touched down at the beginning of each half but were outscored by five tries to two in North London, with three Saracens tries in 15 first-half minutes turning the screw.

Tom Simms scored inside three minutes with Jac Lloyd converting, while Tomas Gwilliam crashed over early in the second half, but it wasn't enough to stem the flow, as tries from Micaal McFarlane, Francis Moore, Ehimen Osebor, Charlie Reynolds-West and Nathan Mitchelow sealed victory for Saracens.

Senior Academy Manager, Gethin Watts, said: “Travelling to Saracens is always a tough, but it’s disappointing to lose a game when you create opportunities that you can’t convert.

"Playing the Bears way demands a high level of skill and accuracy and unfortunately we weren’t able to bring that for the full duration of the game.

"We have a vision for the way we want to play the game and we’ll continue to strive to achieve those high standards, but congratulations to Saracens on the victory."
