Rory Murray agrees contract extension

Bristol Rugby are delighted to confirm head of medical services Rory Murray has agreed a new contract with the club.

The 32-year old, who has been with Bristol since 2012 – is responsible for the strategy and function of medical provision across the high-performance programmes.

Highly respected in his field, Murray took over as head of medical services in the summer of 2015.

“As well as building a squad that can compete at the top level, we need a world-class management team that can drive a high-performance rugby programme for the players.” said head coach Pat Lam.

Murray has been with Bristol Rugby since 2012 (JMP UK).

“I’ve been really impressed with Rory’s skills and expertise since I arrived in the summer and we believe that he is one of the very best in the business.

"It’s vital in this game to have a very strong medical team which is respected by all our squad, so we’re absolutely delighted to secure the leadership and services of Rory for the exciting challenge ahead for Bristol Rugby."
