Samoa slipped to a 34-0 defeat at the hands of Scotland in Pool A of the Rugby World Cup.
Alapati Leiua, Chris Vui and Jordan Lay all featured for Steve Jackson’s side, but Scotland proved too strong with a bonus-point win.
Gregor Townsend's side needed to recover from a poor opening defeat by Ireland, whose subsequent loss to Japan was a further blow to their chances.
But first-half tries from Sean Maitland and Greg Laidlaw and a Stuart Hogg drop goal put the Scots in command. Two penalty tries after half-time ensured the extra point.
