Sign up for Community Foundation half-term camps

Bristol Bears Community Foundation’s ever-popular holiday camps return during the October half-term, including another ‘girls only’ camp at St Mary’s Old Boys RFC.

Lockleaze Community Sports Centre and Yatton RFC will also host two-day camps for ages 8-16-years-old, with St Mary’s hosting a one-day festival of rugby fun.

“Selecting appropriate venues across our region is important in ensuring as many young people as possible have the opportunity to engage with our outstanding team of coaches,” said community development manager, Craig Capel.

“We look forward to working with young players, new and familiar with our game, that will support or even play for Bristol Bears as part of the clubs exciting vision.”

The camps consist of a games-based combination of technical input and fun and incorporate a level of contact progress through touch, grab and full contact.

Away from the playing field, the camps also offer rugby lifestyle workshops, including nutritional and fitness advice.

Each and every camp is evaluated and fully endorsed by coaches at the very top of the sport.

All coaches hold PRL Minimum Standards qualifications – including minimum RFU Level 1, Enhanced DBS, Safeguarding & Protecting Young People, and First Aid.
