Sign up for Community Foundation’s 2019 Nando’s Cup

Bristol Grammar School has been announced as the venue for the 2019 Nando’s Cup, which returns for its sixth year on Sunday, March 24th.

The Nando’s Cup is a ten-a-side, one-day festival for Under-13 and Under-14 teams. Played in a festival format with no overall winner, the day will provide equitable game time for all teams attending.

One young player from each U13 team will have the opportunity to represent their team in a Barbarians fixture during the half-time interval of Bristol Bears’ Gallagher Premiership clash with Saracens on Saturday, April 13th at Ashton Gate Stadium. This player will be nominated by their peers and coaches based on them best demonstrating the core values of the game on the day of the festival.

All U14 teams - made up of coaches, players and their parents - that best demonstrate the core values of our game will also be entered into a draw on the afternoon of the festival, again with the opportunity to play at Ashton Gate Stadium on April 13th.

"We're thrilled to be hosting the Nando’s Cup festival at Bristol Grammar School Sports Ground,” said community development manager, Craig Capel.

“The festival is well established amongst junior clubs across the region and will see around 500 young players have the chance to represent their combination club at the school’s premier rugby facility.

“We look forward to seeing the next generation of Bristol Bears players on show. Huge thanks must go to Bristol Grammar School for supporting the event.”

Registration and pre-festival briefings will take place at 9:15am, with the event beginning at 10am with an expected finish of 2:30pm.

Entry costs £75, with each team receiving up to 20 match tickets for the Bristol versus Saracens fixture.

If you would like more information or would like to enter Nando's Cup, please email ccapel@bristolbearsrugby.com as soon as you can, as places are limited to 16 per age group.
