Wales Women saved their best performance of the tournament till last, picking up a 24-5 bonus-point win over Ireland to make it two wins in a row and move into fourth place in the championship table.
It was the first Welsh victory over their Irish counterparts in the Women’s Six Nations since 2011 and Rowland Phillips’ side put in a dominant performance in-front of a loud home crowd at the Cardiff Arms Park.
Beibhinn Parsons opened the soaring for Ireland before scores from Jess Kavanaugh and Lleucu George gave the hosts a 12-5 lead after forty minutes.
As the second half progressed Wales grew in confidence and further scores from Beth Lewis and former Bristol Bears Women players, Carys Phillips and Jasmine Joyce sealed an impressive victory on Sunday afternoon.
