Sponsors Offer Messages Of Support Ahead Of Break The Cycle

Sponsors of Break The Cycle 2016 have offered some final messages of support to the 200 cyclists taking on the 110-mile challenge on Sunday, 3rd July.

The hardy riders are due to set off from Ashton Gate Stadium at 7.30am on Sunday morning, before pedalling their way through Bath and Gloucester and returning home to Bristol.

Yesterday, Jack Wallace of Bristol Rugby and Get Buzzing – one of this year’s main sponsors – offered some pre-race nutritional advice to all cyclists taking part (see video below).

Lee Salter, Manager, CycleLife Bristol: “Good luck to everybody - young or old - taking part in Break The Cycle 2016.

“Have fun and take care.”

Chris Davies, head of design Qoroz, Professional Titanium Bikes: “In our sixth year of supporting the BRCF Break The Cycle bike ride, we wish you all the very best of luck against mechanical failures during the ride and fantastic weather on the day.

“If you’re new to the ride, you’re going to love it and hate it in different measures throughout the day.

“Rest assured, if you need any mechanical assistance, I’ll be with you as soon as possible to get you back on your bike.

“After registration on the day, please drop by and see me if you’d like me to look over your bike before you start - and please check your tyre pressures the morning of the ride as it’ll avoid unnecessary pinch flat punctures.”

Bruce Wellman, Regional Sales Director, Heineken: “Heineken UK is delighted to be a part of Break the Cycle this year.

“It is our second year supporting the event and I wish everyone riding all the very best of luck.”
