Stat attack: Bath Rugby 20-40 Bristol Bears

Magic Max, a record haul and Heenan's half century. Check out the best of the match stats from the round 18 Gallagher Premiership victory over Bath at The Rec.

Magic Max

Full back, fly half, wing, goalkeeper, left back - it doesn't matter where Max Malins plays, the guy oozes class.

Wearing the number 11 shirt, Malins bagged another Gallagher Premiership brace, and saw another chalked off.ย

The England international made 103 metres from 12 carries, including four clean breaks and two defenders beaten - and the finishing for his two scores was quite magnificent.

Record haul

As well as back to back league doubles over their nearest rivals, the Bears' tally of 40 points is their highest in the league against Bath at The Rec, beating a previous best of 32.

It looked an unlikely total midway through the first half, after two Bath tries against the run of play from Watson and Priestland. But the Bears found top gear after the break, running in six tries to storm to victory.

Heenan's half century

Jake Heenan's appearance from the bench at The Rec was his 50th competitive appearance for the club, becoming the 135th player to reach that landmark.
