Stat attack: Bristol Bears 16-10 Sale Sharks

Sheedy steers the ship, Bears lineout dominance and Piutau impresses again. Check out the best of the match stats from Friday's Gallagher Premiership victory over Sale Sharks.

Sheedy steers the ship

A man of the match performance from Callum Sheedy, whose 11-point haul from the kicking tee steered Bristol Bears to an important home win.

The fly half kicked four out of five (80%) in tough conditions, as well as marshalling the game expertly from the number ten shirt.

Conductor.

Ruling the airways

When it's wet and windy, the set piece takes on even more importance, and Bristol's lineout was flawless on Friday night.

The Bears won ten out of ten lineouts against the Sharks, while stealing three off the visitors.

Chris Vui was the focal point of the Bristol lineout, winning four and stealing two in another impressive display from the Samoan.

Proficient Piutau

For the second successive week, Charles Piutau made more than a century of metres with ball in hand.

The full back dealt expertly with the aerial bombardment thrown at him by Sale, returning the ball for 106 metres from a remarkable 20 carries.

Piutau's kicking game was also impressive on the night, pinning Sale back with his booming left boot, as part of another strong display from the All Black.
