Stat attack: Gloucester 35-13 Bristol Bears

A second-half charge from hosts Gloucester saw Bristol Bears slip to a 35-13 defeat at Kingsholm, but in a losing cause, there were some impressive numbers racked up. Here's the statistical breakdown from Friday night.

Smith stands out

George Smith spent ten minutes in the sin-bin early in the second half, but during the flanker's 70-minute stint, Smith wracked up a very impressive 21 tackles, as well as influencing two turnovers.

The Wallaby legend's tally was the highest in the match, while Smith also finished with a 100% completion rate, with zero missed tackles.

Wall.

Wing wonders

Try scorer, Luke Morahan and his fellow wing, Ryan Edwards topped the metres tally for Bristol Bears at Kingsholm.

Morahan, who opened the scoring on 16 minutes with a 30-metre sprint to the line having latched on to Steven Luatua's offload, completed 61 metres from 11 carries in the 80 minutes.

Edwards was close behind with 59 metres made from eight carries, including one searing break down the left-hand wing as Bristol broke from deep in the first half.

Dazzling.

Endeavour

For the second week in a row, midfield maestro, Siale Piutau topped the charts for Bristol Bears, completing 14 carries from outside centre.

In a breathless and combative West Country derby, Piutau worked tirelessly in the midfield, also completing eight tackles and making 34 metres

Grind.
