Stat attack: Harlequins 22-17 Bristol Bears

Afoa masterclass, Bears indiscipline costly and wet weather errors. Check out the best of the match stats from Saturday's Gallagher Premiership defeat to Harlequins at The Stoop.

King John's consistency

The masterful All Black prop was named Bristol's man of the match on Saturday after yet another sublime all-court performance.

The 36-year-old led a predominantly strong scrummaging display from the Bears, with six successful scrums out of seven (86%).

In the loose, Afoa linked Bristol's play beautifully with seven passes (100%), while defensively he made seven tackles (89%).

Paying the penalty

Pat Lam lamented Bristol Bears' indiscipline at The Stoop, describing it as costly in a game of small margins.

His side conceded nine penalties, five of which were kicked between the posts by the deadly boot of Marcus Smith, while a yellow card for Nathan Hughes for a dangerous tackle meant Bristol would play ten minutes with just 14 men.

Wet, wet, wet

In very wet conditions in West London, the weather most certainly played its part on the game's error count, forcing turnovers throughout.

In total, there were 34 turnovers during the 80 minutes, 18 for Harlequins and 16 for Bristol Bears, as the elements wreaked havoc at The Stoop.
