Stat attack: Harlequins 24-12 Bristol Bears

Protheroe goes the distance, Dun dominates and school's out for young gun Ascherl. Check out the best of the match stats from Friday's Premiership Cup clash at Harlequins.

Dun, Dun, Dun

Making his first competitive outing since November 2018, James Dun impressed in the Bristol Bears back-row with a physical and industrious performance against Harlequins

The Academy forward made the most carries in the match (13 carries) for 36 metres and the second most tackles (13 tackles), to cap a strong showing for the visitors.

Mat finish

The pacey full-back was a constant threat on the counter attack and capped a man of the match display with a sensational individual score in the game's closing stages.

Protheroe collected Strizaker's pass before stepping and slaloming his way through the Quins defence and rounding the covering Ibitoye to touch down.

Protheroe finished the match with the third most metres (92 metres), behind Quins' Gabriel Ibitoye and Aaron Morris.

School's out

Clifton College sixth form pupil, Harry Ascherl became the ninth youngest person to play a competitive game for Bristol Bears, aged 18 years and 20 days.

In fact, Ascherl attended lessons on the morning of the game, before travelling to the game with the rest of the squad and appearing as a replacement for Ian Madigan on 53 minutes.
