Stat attack: Newcastle Falcons 17-34 Bristol Bears

Maximum impact, Fitz and proper and the records keep tumbling. Check out the best of the match stats from the round 16 Gallagher Premiership victory over Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park.

Maximum impact

Oh so silky. Max Malins took centre stage at Kingston Park with a man of the match performance on his first Bears start of 2021.

The full back, returning from international duty, made 183 metres from just 13 carries, beat five defenders and made two clean breaks. Add to this a try in either half and you've got a pretty complete display.

Fitz and proper

Fitz Harding has made a quite sensational start to life with the Bears and continued his strong run of form with yet another eye-catching performance.

Harding made nine tackles (100%) and has now made 47 tackles without missing one in the Gallagher Premiership this season - the only player in the league with a 100% completion rate.

The 21-year-old also made 63 metres from just six carries, beat two defenders and earned an impressive turnover midway through the second half.

Records tumbling

The victory over the Falcons made it eight games unbeaten for the Bears in the Gallagher Premiership - the club's longest ever stretch without a top-flight defeat.

It leaves them top of the tree and 12 points clear of Exeter Chiefs, who they face on Friday night. Tasty.
