Talking points: Harlequins (a) - Gallagher Premiership

Check out they key talking points from this week's media session, as Director of Rugby, Pat Lam and centre, Semi Radradra previewed the Boxing Day Gallagher Premiership clash with Harlequins (2PM KO, live on BT Sport 1 HD).

'Squad management'

Pat Lam on managing his squad and mandatory rest for international players: "We've got three Premiership games and two European games, and during that period, we have to find two weeks off for the England boys - and rightly so, the boys went all the way through from last season. So, we've got to find them two weeks before the Six Nations, for Kyle (Sinckler), Ben (Earl) and Max (Malins) - doesn't have to be all at the same time - and then every other non-international, we've got to find them a week off during that five or six games."

“The focus is really about us. Obviously, we have Christmas, so we know this time of the year is a little bit different.

Radradra relishing return

Radradra on his Bears comeback: “To be involved in this week’s game is a big challenge for me – I haven’t played for the Bears since the Challenge Cup final, so it’s going to be a big challenge for me, and I’ll just try to do the best I can on the field.

“Quins are very tough and having played Racing last week, this week they will be trying to come at us on fire. So, for us, we need to stay in the fight and hopefully, give them a good game."

'Wounded Quins'

Pat Lam on expecting a big response from Harlequins: “I’m not sure when Bristol have won (at the Stoop) before, but certainly not while I’ve been here, so we understand how tough that’s going to be – and I know last week wasn’t a great day (for Quins), which means we’re expecting a bounce back from them, and also there’s a lot of quality players in that team.

“So, we’ve got back, short turnaround, but we’re looking forward to getting back into the Premiership and there’s points on offer for both sides."
