Team news: Bath United vs Bristol Bears 'A'

Jordan Crane will skipper a strong side on his return to action when Bristol Bears ‘A’ face Bath United on Saturday (3pm KO).

The former England international is set to make his first outing of the campaign following a knee injury.

Crane is joined in the back row by new recruit Adrian Choat, who will make his club debut at the Recreation Ground.

Ian Madigan and Will Hurrell form the midfield partnership for the Premiership Shield encounter.

“We were disappointed with the way we performed in that opening game, so this is an opportunity to put things right in this derby clash."

Academy transition coach, Sean Marsden

Blake Boyland is named to start and could make his first appearance of the season after recovering from an ankle injury.

“It’s great to see Blake and Jordan back in the side after a long period of rehabilitation and we’re looking forward to seeing how Adrian Choat goes in the back row on his first outing.

“Bath are always a tough side, so we are expecting a big challenge on Saturday.”
