Team news: Bristol Bears U18s vs Harlequins U18s

Bristol Bears U18s will host Harlequins U18s at the Lockleaze Combination Ground as the U18s league continues on Saturday (1pm KO).

In addition, a second Bears U18s side will face the Lambs at QEH Playing Fields on Sunday, January 26th, (11:30am KO).

Senior Academy Manager Gethin Watts said: “The game is set to be another competitive clash. It will be another opportunity for us to pit our wits against an excellent side. Despite recent results not going our way we are certainly benefiting from this level of competition.

"Our level of competition for large periods of the game have to be better executed and we have to find a level of consistency that allows us to take advantage of the opportunities that we are creating.

But, also understanding that we have to find better ways of stopping the opposition from capitalising on their chances.”

Speaking on the double header, Gethin Watts adds “It’s great that we have two games on the weekend, it gives all of our squad an opportunity to play in a competitive fixture.

“The whole squad has trained so well since the beginning of the season, but ultimately playing games is what everyone works for, and this gives both us and the players the best opportunity to assess their progress so far.”
