U18 Head Coach Brad Barnes has named a 28-man squad for Saturday’s U18 friendly clash against Yorkshire Academy at Loughborough University.
The unbeaten Bears return to action in the Academy U18 League against Saracens on Sunday, January 14th and Barnes says this weekend’s fixture will serve as good preparation.
“All of the players and staff are looking forward to the weekend game ahead of the trip to Saracens next week,” said Barnes.
“The U18 programme is a vital cog in the development process for the club but it is very much one part that is aligned with senior teams’ aims and objectives.
“Since our friendly fixture in October versus Exeter, the players have been monitored closely via their schools, colleges, and club games. We’ve got a good spread of players from all corners of the region, and we are proud that we are unearthing talent from across the region.
“We’re excited to be back in action and looking forward to an important couple of months in the competition.”
