Pat Lam has selected an exciting young team to face Exeter Chiefs in the opening round of the Premiership Rugby Cup at Ashton Gate on Wednesday night (7.45pm).
Seven current Academy players are named in the starting XV, with a further six among the replacements, including an all-Bristolian back-row of Aaron Tull, Ed Harvey and Macennzie Duncan.
Joe Owen and Morgan Eames are set for their first competitive starts in the engine room, while twins Jonny and Aristot make up a Benz-Salomon front-row either side of Bryan Byrne.
Sam Worsley partners Tom Whiteley at half-back for his first competitive start, while Academy centre Joe Jenkins starts in the midfield alongside James Williams.
Deago Bailey and Ioan Lloyd return from injury to start in the back three, with Harry Rowson also named.
