Team news: Bristol Bears vs London Irish

Harry Thacker is set for first start of the campaign when Bristol Bears round off the regular season at home to London Irish (3pm KO).

  • Thacker set for first start of the campaign
  • Bristol aiming to secure top spot in the Premiership
  • Siale Piutau co-captains the side at Ashton Gate

The hooker is one of five changes to the side as Bristol look to secure top spot in the Gallagher Premiership with victory.

Luke Morahan returns from a head injury to come into the back three, while Ioan Lloyd is selected at fly half. Siale Piutau co-captains the side following the confirmation earlier this week that the centre will depart after five seasons with the club.

Following the game, as the club have done every season since Lam’s arrival in 2017, the departing players at the end of the 2020/21 season will be acknowledged on the pitch.

In the pack, Max Lahiff is named in the front row, while Ben Earl and Joe Joyce also come in for starts.
