Team news: Bristol Bears vs Northampton Saints

Bristol Bears will look to maintain a 100% record at Ashton Gate when Northampton Saints visit on Saturday (3pm KO).

  • Ten internationals in starting line-up
  • Lam makes two changes from last weekend
  • Crane and Vui ruled out through injury
  • Stirzaker and Haining return to 23-man squad

Head coach Pat Lam makes two enforced changes from the side that beat Harlequins last weekend in the Gallagher Premiership.

Jack Lam replaces Jordan Crane (hamstring) in the back row, while Joe Latta recovers from a shoulder injury to come in for Chris Vui (groin).

"We’re really excited by this week. We know there’s only two more rounds before there’s a break, so there’s a good opportunity for us. Northampton are a dangerous side and it’s another great challenge."

“We’re really excited by this week. We know there’s only two more rounds before there’s a break, so there’s a good opportunity for us. Northampton are a dangerous side and it’s another great challenge,” said Lam.

“You look at the quality they have got, and obviously I know Chris Boyd well from New Zealand. He’s a quality coach and he’s not been in the job very long and there’s a lot of change that he’s making. Our job is to make sure we get our learnings and our game right and put them under as much pressure as possible.”

Nic Stirzaker comes into the 23-man squad in place of Harry Randall (knee), while Nick Haining is also included.
